Job Summary

TalentWise LLC is building a pipeline of human resources professionals to support anticipated government contract awards with Arlington County, VA.

The Human Resources Administrative Specialist provides administrative and technical support for a wide range of HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and personnel administration. This role serves as a liaison between departments and the Human Resources function, ensuring compliance with policies and efficient processing of HR activities.

The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate HR records, supporting workforce operations, and providing guidance to staff on HR processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting processes, including job postings, applicant tracking, and onboarding coordination 
  • Prepare offer letters, onboarding materials, and new hire documentation 
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including orientation and exit processes 
  • Process and manage timekeeping and payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance 
  • Audit time records, track leave usage, and resolve payroll discrepancies 
  • Maintain personnel files and HR documentation in compliance with policies 
  • Process employee status changes, including pay adjustments, reclassifications, and assignments 
  • Provide guidance to staff on HR policies, procedures, and timelines 
  • Coordinate HR-related administrative activities such as benefits submissions and compliance forms 
  • Generate reports and provide data to support HR operations and decision-making 
  • Serve as liaison between department staff and central HR teams 
  • Assist with departmental events and administrative initiatives 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Some college coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field 
  • Considerable experience in human resources administration or related field 
  • Knowledge of HR processes, payroll, and administrative procedures 
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., NeoGov, PRISM, or similar platforms) 
  • Strong organizational and data management skills 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
